Art
Trippy artwork is a staple at any major music festival. Clockenflap 2015. Take the iconic 2015 #CoachellaCaterpillar for example.
Art at Clockenflap 2015 will be revolving around the theme the “Cosmic & Communal“. Organizers are promising a giant pyramid structure dubbed The Magnet Palace, which will serve as a multi-use experimental performance space with sonic-visual kinetic installations. In layman terms, it’s a giant flashy thingymajig that will act as the perfect backdrop for your Instagram selfies. Film junkies can also enjoy a selection of short feature films and animations at the Cinema Silenzio tent. If you’re looking for more old school, classic entertainment, Club Minky can provide that in the form of vaudeville cabaret, circus acrobatics and comedy shows.
Family Zone
Can’t find anyone to babysit your kids while you bust a move to Clean Bandit? Why not take them with you? Children aged 12 can enjoy all festivities for free, and will be kept entertained by Pete Moser’s Fastest One Man Band, the Hairy Family Jam Band, a DJ workshop led by Sol Passion, and other interactive games.
Food
Organizers are promising a bigger and better array of food and beverage this year, ranging from Dim Sum, to Korean bibimbaps, to Caribbean jerk chicken and more, in the hopes of providing a spectacle for your eyes, ears, and mouth.
App
To avoid schedule checking and Google mapping hassle, Clockenflap will be pushing out an app for both Apple and Android users, in mid-November, letting users create customized itineraries as well as check up on performance schedules and attraction locations.
Ticketing & wristbands
As always, ticketing has been segmental, with prices going up gradually as more acts join the line up. Now that the full line up has been released though and ticketing has moved on to Phase 03, you should probably consider grabbing your tickets before they run out. Discounted student / under 18 tickets are also available this year. Upon arrival, ticketholders will also be given wristbands with waterproof RFiD chips, which means less queue time and more fun time if you wish to leave and re-enter the festival at any point. It’s essentially also an “Octopus card” for the festival, allowing you to store credit and purchase food throughout the weekend.
Visit Ticketflap for ticketing details. Or just pop by 7 – 11. Yes you can get Clockenflap tickets there too.
We cannot wait.
